Casa de São Pedro

The "Casa de São Pedro" is a 1840 manor house completely restored in 1997 by the current owners, Luis Elmano Costa de Mendonça Barrôco and  Maria da Gloria Barrôco. The house has four bedrooms all with private bathrooms and air conditioning. Two rooms have a balcony overlooking the pool and garden. It has a dining room and living room with TV. It is located about 6 km from Praia Formosa,one of the most beautiful beaches of Portugal, rendezvous and stage  of various cultural and musical events. This house is in a farm, surrounded by a large garden of mature trees: metrosideros (fire tree), and other palms, which gives a magnificent landscape with a character very cozy and quiet. On the farm there is a bird park with exotic ducks, geese, swans pheasants, peacocks and real java, vulturine painted, painted stern cracidae among others, sheep, goats and dwarf pigs from Vietnam. An outdoor arena and an insideone allow the practice of riding. From the same owners, the restaurant Rosa Alta, 50 meters from Casa de São Pedro is open from June to September. Among the varied menu, highlight is the fresh fish,fillet mignon, roasted octopus and various desserts. The Casa de São Pedro will provide its customers boating, fishing and watching dolphins and whales through a local operator.
